BRANNOR • CORE FOUR • TITAN-SENSE
Jasper Holloway is one of the four central characters of Tidefall. He is a Brannor student at Tidefall Academy, a careful and curious problem-solver, and one of the rare people with a direct connection to Titans. Jasper notices patterns other people miss, especially when the Tide, the Academy or something beneath the water refuses to behave normally.
CHARACTER DOSSIER
Jasper is part of the central group with Lily Hart, Harper Vale and Ava Rees. He often becomes the person who slows a situation down long enough to notice the clue everyone else stepped over. He is not passive, but he prefers understanding a problem before charging into it.
Jasper is observant, curious, loyal and persistent. Mysteries bother him when they remain unfinished. His instinct is to connect details, question coincidences and work out what changed, who noticed it and why it matters.
Jasper belongs to Brannor. The Order is associated with courage, loyalty and action, traits Jasper tends to show through consistency and commitment rather than constant recklessness.
Jasper's necklace is his signature object and one of the most recognisable parts of his character design. It is repeatedly associated with Jasper across Tidefall character material.
MAGIC & TITANS
Tidefall magic is not built around wands. Jasper casts through the same wider magical system as other Tidefall students, using direct magic rather than a wand as a required focus.
Jasper possesses the rare ability known as Titan-sense. In its fuller form, Titan-sense lets him detect Titans, hear them and communicate with them. Lily Hart shares this unusual connection.
Titan-sense gives Jasper information that most people simply cannot receive. When something ancient or enormous is moving beneath Tidefall's waters, Jasper can experience the event as more than a distant disturbance.
Only a tiny number of people are known to have any form of Titan-sense. Jasper and Lily possess the fuller connection, while the Headmaster has a more limited form associated with hearing rather than the same complete ability.
CONNECTIONS
Jasper and Lily share both a close personal bond and the unusual experience of Titan-sense. That shared connection means each can understand parts of the Tidefall world that almost nobody else can.
Harper's instinctive, fast-moving energy contrasts with Jasper's tendency to analyse first. The contrast is useful: Harper creates momentum while Jasper catches the details that momentum can miss.
Jasper and Ava are both strong observers, but they approach problems differently. Jasper follows patterns and possibilities while Ava is especially drawn to precision, evidence and inconsistencies.
Later-series relationship note: Jasper and Lily are an eventual pairing in the wider Tidefall canon. Their relationship develops over time rather than replacing the friendship at the centre of the core four.
